A quick and easy frozen summer drink combining tart lemonade, sweet strawberries, and crisp rosé wine for a perfectly balanced, refreshing slushie.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups rosé wine (about 360 ml or 12 fl oz)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemonade (240 ml or 8 fl oz)
  • 1 ½ cups frozen strawberries (225 grams or about 5 ounces)
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced (75 grams or about 2.5 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Hull and slice fresh strawberries, and if using fresh lemonade, squeeze lemons to get about 1 cup (240 ml or 8 fl oz) of juice. Measure out rosé wine and frozen strawberries. (5 minutes)
  2. Add frozen strawberries and rosé wine into your blender. Pulse a few times to break up the frozen chunks, then blend on high until smooth but still thick. The texture should be slushy, not watery. (2-3 minutes)
  3. Pour in the lemonade and add honey or agave syrup if using. Blend again for about 30 seconds to combine everything evenly. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. (1-2 minutes)
  4. Add the fresh sliced strawberries and pulse a few times just to mix in, leaving some texture bits for a fresh burst in every sip. (30 seconds)
  5. If the slushie is too thick, add a splash more lemonade or rosé; if too thin, add a handful of ice cubes or frozen strawberries and blend again briefly. (1 minute)
  6. Pour into chilled glasses, garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices. Serve immediately. (2 minutes)

Notes

Use frozen strawberries straight from the freezer to keep the icy texture without dilution. Pulse frozen fruit first before blending fully to protect your blender and control texture. Avoid over-blending after adding fresh strawberries to keep some texture. Use a dry, fruity rosé with berry notes for best flavor. Serve immediately for best texture; leftovers can be stored in the freezer up to 24 hours and stirred or blended before serving.
