A relaxed, intimate charcuterie board for two that comes together in under 15 minutes with simple ingredients. Perfect for date night or a quiet evening, this board balances creamy, salty, sweet, and crunchy flavors without the stress or waste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz (115g) Brie or Camembert
  • 3 oz (85g) Aged Cheddar
  • 3 oz (85g) Goat Cheese Log
  • 3–4 slices Prosciutto
  • 4–5 slices Genoa Salami
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Fig Jam or Honey
  • 1 Apple, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (75g) Red Grapes
  • 1/4 cup (30g) Toasted Almonds or Candied Pecans
  • 8–10 Crackers or Baguette Slices
  • 2–3 Cornichons or Pickled Onions (optional)
  • 1 oz (30g) Dark Chocolate (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take cheeses out of the fridge 20 minutes before starting and let them come to room temperature.
  2. Slice the brie into wedges or leave whole. Slice cheddar into thin triangles or cubes. Slice goat cheese log into 1/2-inch rounds. Arrange cheeses in different spots on the board.
  3. Fold prosciutto slices into loose ribbons or waves. Arrange salami slices in a small pile or fan them out.
  4. Slice apple into thin wedges and toss with lemon juice to prevent browning. Rinse and pat dry grapes. Arrange fruit in clusters around the board.
  5. Spoon fig jam or honey into a small bowl and place on the board. Scatter nuts in small piles. Add cornichons or pickled onions if using. Place crackers or baguette slices in a neat stack or fan.
  6. Fill any empty spots with extra grapes or dark chocolate squares. Aim for a balanced, abundant look.
  7. Pour wine (Pinot Noir or Sauvignon Blanc recommended) into two glasses, set the board in the center of the table, and serve immediately.

Notes

Let cheese sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Keep crackers away from wet ingredients to prevent sogginess. Adjust quantities based on hunger level. For a vegetarian version, skip meats and double up on cheese with roasted red peppers or olives.
