These Fresh White Peach Caprese Skewers combine juicy white peaches, creamy mozzarella, fresh basil, local honey, and flaky salt for a light, fresh, and indulgent summer appetizer that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Fresh white peaches – ripe but firm, sliced into wedges or chunks
  • Mozzarella balls (Bocconcini or Ciliegine) – small, soft cheese balls, preferably fresh
  • Fresh basil leaves – whole leaves, washed and patted dry
  • Local honey – mild-flavored
  • Flaky sea salt – such as Maldon or fleur de sel
  • Extra virgin olive oil (optional) – light drizzle
  • Wooden or bamboo skewers – about 4-inch length

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the peaches and basil leaves to prevent excess moisture.
  2. Slice the white peaches into roughly 1-inch thick wedges.
  3. Drain mozzarella balls well on paper towels; cut larger balls in half if needed.
  4. Assemble skewers by threading one peach wedge, a basil leaf (folded if large), then a mozzarella ball. Repeat if desired.
  5. Arrange the skewers neatly on a serving platter.
  6. Lightly drizzle local honey over each skewer.
  7. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top to enhance flavors.
  8. Optionally, add a light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil for richness.
  9. Serve immediately or refrigerate assembled skewers without honey and salt; add those just before serving.

Notes

Use firm but ripe peaches to avoid mushy skewers. Drizzle honey sparingly to prevent overpowering sweetness. Add honey and flaky salt just before serving if preparing ahead. Optional olive oil adds richness but is not necessary. For vegan option, substitute mozzarella with firm tofu or vegan cheese and honey with agave nectar.
