Greek Yogurt Cucumber Dip - featured image

A cool and creamy dip combining tangy Greek yogurt with crisp cucumber chunks, fresh dill, and a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning for a refreshing summer snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 1 English cucumber, roughly chopped or grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced or grated
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the English cucumber. Grate it on the large holes of a box grater or pulse in a food processor for a coarser texture.
  2. Place the grated cucumber in a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth and press or squeeze out excess water to prevent watery dip.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Fold in the finely chopped fresh dill.
  5. Add the well-drained grated cucumber to the yogurt mixture and fold gently to distribute evenly without breaking down the cucumber too much.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. If desired, drizzle olive oil and fold gently to add silkiness.
  8. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors marry and texture firm up.
  9. Before serving, sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over the top for added crunch and flavor. Serve chilled.

Notes

Drain cucumber thoroughly to avoid watery dip. Fold ingredients gently to maintain texture. Make ahead and chill for deeper flavor. Use fresh dill for best aroma. Olive oil is optional for silkiness. Vegan substitutions include plant-based yogurt and modified seasoning.
