Easy Crockpot Little Smokies - featured image

These Easy Crockpot Little Smokies in Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce are a sticky, sweet, and savory appetizer made with just three ingredients. Perfect for parties, game days, or any gathering, they disappear before the main course even hits the table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages (14 ounces each) little smokies sausages
  • 1 cup (240 ml) your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) packed light brown sugar
  • Optional: splash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Open the packages of little smokies. Drain any liquid from the packages. Rinse in a colander under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Place the little smokies in your crockpot, spreading them out evenly.
  3. Add the BBQ sauce directly over the sausages.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top. Let it sit for a minute.
  5. Stir everything together until every sausage is coated and the brown sugar is fully incorporated.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Stir gently halfway through if possible.
  7. Check for doneness: the sauce should be thick, glossy, and clinging to each sausage. If too thin, cook for another 30 minutes with the lid slightly cracked.
  8. Switch to warm setting for serving. Can stay on warm for up to 2 hours.

Notes

For best results, cook on low heat to prevent burning. Let the little smokies rest for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the glaze to set. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
