A quick and easy appetizer featuring jalapeño popper dip stuffed inside a flaky crescent roll ring, delivering a crispy, cheesy, and spicy snack perfect for parties or cozy nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 ½ cups jalapeño popper dip (homemade or store-bought)
  • For the jalapeño popper dip:
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 23 medium jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon bits (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • Egg wash: 1 large egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  • Optional garnish: chopped fresh chives or green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped jalapeños, cooked bacon bits, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and sour cream. Mix until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  3. Unroll crescent roll dough onto a flat surface and gently press perforations to seal into one large sheet.
  4. Cut dough into 8 equal strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  5. Spread about 2 tablespoons of jalapeño popper dip onto each strip, leaving a small border along the edges.
  6. Roll each strip tightly into a log, pinching edges to seal and prevent leaks.
  7. Arrange the rolls in a circular pattern on the prepared baking sheet, placing ends close together to form a ring.
  8. Brush the entire ring with the egg wash for a golden, shiny crust.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, watching closely from minute 18 to prevent burning.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped chives or green onions if desired. Serve warm by tearing off sections.

Notes

If the dip is too runny, refrigerate for 15 minutes before spreading to prevent soggy dough. Cover with foil halfway through baking if edges brown too quickly. Let cool slightly before serving to avoid molten hot cheese burns. Reheat leftovers in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes to re-crisp. Avoid microwaving to keep crust crunchy.
