A quick and easy cocktail combining warm apple cider with crisp Prosecco, finished with a spiced cinnamon sugar rim. Perfect for cozy evenings, holiday brunches, or any time you need a little sparkle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces (120 ml) apple cider (preferably unfiltered, such as Martinelli’s or local orchard brand)
  • 4 ounces (120 ml) Prosecco or dry sparkling wine (such as La Marca)
  • 1 tablespoon (8 g) ground cinnamon (for rim)
  • 2 tablespoons (25 g) granulated sugar (for rim)
  • Apple slices (for garnish, optional)
  • Cinnamon stick (for garnish, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon with 2 tablespoons granulated sugar until evenly combined.
  2. Moisten the rim of a champagne flute or wine glass by running an apple slice along it, or dipping in water or honey.
  3. Gently dip the moistened rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture, rotating to coat evenly. Tap off excess and let set for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour 4 ounces (120 ml) apple cider into the prepared glass, filling it about halfway. If using honey or maple syrup, stir it into the cider now.
  5. Slowly pour 4 ounces (120 ml) chilled Prosecco over the cider, pouring at a slight angle to preserve bubbles.
  6. Garnish with a thin apple slice on the rim and a cinnamon stick if desired.
  7. Serve immediately while bubbles are lively and rim is crisp.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute Prosecco with sparkling apple cider or ginger ale. For a vegan option, ensure sugar is vegan-friendly. Use a dry Prosecco to balance sweetness. The cinnamon sugar rim is delicate; avoid over-moistening. Serve immediately for best bubbles and rim texture.
