A quick and easy Halloween punch bowl recipe made with apple juice, orange juice, ginger ale, lime sherbet, and frozen grapes that look like creepy eyeballs. Perfect for last-minute parties and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 4 cups ginger ale
  • 1 pint lime sherbet
  • 1 cup frozen green grapes
  • 1 cup frozen cranberries (optional)
  • Ice ring or large ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ice ring (4 hours ahead or night before): Fill a small bundt pan halfway with apple juice. Arrange 10-15 frozen green grapes around the ring. Freeze for 2 hours, then add more apple juice to fill the pan. Freeze completely.
  2. Freeze the grapes (at least 4 hours ahead): Wash 1 cup of green grapes and pat them dry. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer. Freeze for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Chill all liquids (2 hours ahead): Place the apple juice, orange juice, and ginger ale in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  4. Assemble the punch bowl (just before serving): Pour 4 cups of chilled apple juice into the punch bowl. Add 2 cups of chilled orange juice. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Add the ginger ale: Slowly pour 4 cups of chilled ginger ale down the side of the bowl. Stir gently with a ladle to keep carbonation.
  6. Add the frozen elements: Gently place the frozen ice ring into the center of the punch bowl. Sprinkle the frozen green grapes and frozen cranberries around the bowl.
  7. Add the sherbet: Just before serving, scoop the entire pint of lime sherbet into the punch. Do not stir it in completely—let it float and melt slowly.
  8. Serve immediately: Place the ladle in the bowl and let guests serve themselves. Best within the first 30 minutes.

Notes

For best results, freeze grapes at least 4 hours ahead. Assemble punch no more than 15 minutes before serving. For a dairy-free version, use coconut lime sorbet instead of sherbet. For an adult version, add 1 cup of vodka or white rum.
